Malani’s latest song from his iPhone film ‘Yeh CineMaa Hai’ is ‘I Love You My
Angel’ that is romantic and musical; starring Sanjukta Ghosh and Bharath
Lakshmikanth, sung by Tracy Sharyl Kalai and Govind Kurnool and music by
Karthik Venkatesh.
The Sequence
Its Alia’s
birthday and her boy friend Sidharth, quietly celebrates with her. And on her
birthday, she is at work, being a hairstylist at the film shoot; getting the actresses
Parineeti and Vidya ready for the song sequence. While Prateek dances with
Parineeti, the other star couples are ready for their shot, which is being
canned by Anurag (director) and Ramu (cameraman). The choreographers Saroj and
Shiv are doing the dance steps. In the midst of the song, Alia’s family
comprising of her brother Mahesh, sister in law Namrata and children Preeti and
Sriman visit the shoot spot and break the news of her Birthday.
Everyone in the
set wish her. She takes a break and has a quick silent celebration with her
dear family members so as to also get a call from her little brother Ayushman,
who is in Goa on his college project. Alia, who gets back to the shoot after
the break, dreams of dancing with her love at the beach side on a sunset and
goes back to sleep with holding the family photo frame that she got as a gift
from her dotting brother, Mahesh. All
this sequence is part of the song, ‘I Love you, my Angel’
The Cast and the crew
Sanjukta
Ghosh plays Alia, while Bharath Lakshmikanth is her friend Sidharth. Mahesh and
Namrata are played by Mahesh and Anitha, while the kids Preeti (Aditi) and
Sriman. Karthik Venkatesh is Anurag Sir while Selvam Mathappan is Ramu. Manjula
Pillai is Saroj. Arun Kumar, Tushara Tush, Sriman and Madhura play the artists
in the song. Sarita Jannat plays heroine’s mother. Silver plays Ayushmann,
brother of Alia.
The song is
sung by Govind Kurnool and Tracy Sharyl Kalai with lyrics and music by Karthik
Venkatesh. Edit by Santosh Chawla and Vignesh Thanupillai (Sasi Viki) and
choreography by Shivranjan. It’s
produced jointly by Ranjeet Jha (RKJ Productions), The Studio Agency, Edward
Dsouza and Sundeep Malani who also handles the iphone camera besides the
concept and direction. Malani Talkies promotes and co-produces the film.
The song is
been shot at Dr Rajkumar Park, Banaswadi and at the residence of Mahesh and
Malani in Bangalore, as well as the beach side at Summer Sands Ullal,
Mangalore.

1 1. It was 10 years ago, when a song from
SMS 6260 was shot at Dr Rajkumar Park and now at the same location, this song
is picturised.
2. The song ‘I love you my Angel’ is originally a Kannada song from the film ‘Darpana’ shot simultaneously, being picturised on Arun Kumar and Chitranjani Chittu and music and directed by Karthik Venkatesh.
3. Co-incidentally, the Hindi version of the song by Karthik also features Arun and the team of Darpana, as Chitranjani also is part of another sequence in the film. Shree Ram, Madhura, Manjula are also part of Darpana.
