Flamenco form of dance art in Malani’s iPhone CineMaa Hai

The Introduction to Flamenco Dancing

Flamenco is a Spanish art form made up of three parts: guitar playing, song and dance. Flamenco originated in the southern regions of Spain, but it's thought to be influenced by many world cultures, including Latin American, Cuban, and Jewish traditions.
Originally flamenco dancing was not set to music; it was only singing and clapping of hands. Some flamenco dancing still follows ancient tradition, but the use of guitars and other musical instruments has become more popular in modern flamenco.
Flamenco dancers try to express their deepest emotions by using body movements and facial expressions. As the dancers perform, they may also clap their hands or kick their feet. Many dancers also snap small percussion handheld instruments called "castanets."

The Concept of Flamenco in the film

Hrithik (played by Anant Joshi) is a Flamenco dancer. His friends Ranveer (Mahendra Pandey) and Varun (Ranjeet Jha) plan to meet at his residence as long time since they all met. Hrithik is all set to perform for a show and so he practices a few dance steps at home. And also invites both of his friends to come to the show. As Ranveer takes an excuse that he can’t make it due to his other commitments, Varun promises to show up for the show. The song and dance is shown in two sequences, the first one as a practice session at home and the main thing at an event.

The Cast and the Crew

Anant Vijay Joshi had been introduced to films in Sandeep Malani’s suspense thriller Hindi film, Woh 5 Din and later in the musical thriller Janleva 555. In both the films, Anant had wonderful role to perform and showcase his talent. He also played a cameo in the short film Jo Jo Darling.
Anant has been repeated in the latest iPhone film, Yeh CineMaa Hai, in which he plays a Flamenco Dancer, Hrithik. Anant who has been trained with the dance form, did his own choreography.
Varun, played by Ranjeet Jha and Ranveer, played by Mahendra Pandey is also in the cast. The scene that follows also has reference to Shahid (Mann Hora) and Sonam (Shubha Raksha).
The music is scored by Punith M Ranganathan, with edit by Santosh Chawla and Vignesh Thanupillai.
