Romance is just
not the flavor for Valentine’s but it’s for all seasons in Malani’s films. Romance
and love tracks has always been the USP for Sandeep Malani’s films. And it has
to be noted that he gets a pure classic English track in his films. Be it SMS 6260 wherein two English tracks were
composed for the film, and so be it Miss
California, in which a Waltz number was used. Also for the Kannada film, Julie; the famous My Heart is Beating
was repeated with his own style of beats recomposed. Ditto for his Hindi film Janleva 555, there was a total romantic
Birthday track with waltz, jive, rock and salsa picturised on the entire
starcast. And now, coming to Yeh CineMaa
Hai, Sandeep Malani has got the famous Jim Reeve’s track ‘Welcome to my
world’ the cover version sung and composed by Carl Correa.
Welcome to my world

The track by
Jim Reeves, has been sung and music (re arranged) by Mangalorean Carl Correa,
who has his base both in Mangalore and in Dubai as he keeps flying up and down
every week managing his crave for baking. He runs a cake shop with the name ‘Crave’
in Mangalore. And his crave also has been for music, and one of his many tracks
that he composed is ‘Welcome to my world’ which has been used in Malani’s Yeh
Cinemaa Hai for the scene that has the song in the background which is based on
romance and bonding of the artists.
The Bonding of the Characters
The sequence
begins with Sonam and Varun being cozy at home talking about love and life
while the bell rings and Varun opens the door for a surprise guest waiting on
the other side. Deepika and Ranveer enter the home, as Sonam hugs Deepika and
introduces as her would be sister in law.
While Varun and Deepika greet; Sonam
and Ranveer are happy too. Deepika being a modern girl of today’s generation
still has high regards on family values. She respects and honors her fiance’ Ranveer’s
departed mother’s portrait. And as they all settle down – thank each other for
the little for being helpful, supportive and cooperation that through a small
misunderstanding because of Shahid; who Varun had assumed that was having an
affair with his sweetheart Sonam, was actually a gay. So, there ends the
confusion and the foursome are happy being together once again. While the
entire sequence is going on, the track is being played in the background – thus
giving the scene a beautiful meaning.
The Cast and The Crew
The scene
features Shubha Raksha as Sonam, Ranjeet Jha as Varun, Sharanya Jit Kaur as
Deepika and Mahendra Pandey as Ranveer. It’s Mann Hora who is been referred to
as the gay, Shahid through his pictures. Cherrie Ash, has been sweet enough to
lend her voice for Shubha Raksha. And the sequence has been shot in the
beautiful house with wonderful interiors at Juliet Savio Aranha’s Kadri Hill
residence in Mangalore. The portrait of the mother in the scene is that of
Ranjeet Jha’s deceased mother.
